If you want to savour the yellow sauce according to tradition, we recommend serving it alongside boiled or roasted meats. But its tasty and lively flavour also makes it perfect for crunchy bruschettas to whet your appetite before dinner.

Babbo Elio’s red peasant sauce skilfully blends peppers, carrots, celery, onions, green beans and tomatoes for an explosion of taste, in which the scents of the garden stand out. Use the red peasant sauce for your aperitifs: bruschettas and tapas will become irresistible! But also try it alongside main courses such as boiled meats or cold roasts, as tradition dictates.

The most traditional of all our sauces, Babbo Elio’s green sauce embodies the love for our land and for the good things made at home. The most precious crops of our vegetable gardens – peppers, carrots, celery, onions and parsley – are plunged into the sweet and sour taste of vinegar to create a sauce that tastes like home at every bite. Use it to decorate your dishes adding a touch of bright green, create tasty dips for croutons to munch on before dinner or combine it more classically with boiled meats at Sunday lunch.

Design

The artist chosen for Babbo Elio’s preserve and sauce labels is by now an institution in the world of tattooing. Her name is Serena Ferrarini, better known as Seretattoo. Her distinctive work, which favours stylised figures, portrays the typical country family with its amusing members and their respective characteristics and roles.
